Discipleship Group Rules & Covenant

Purpose:This group exists to pursue spiritual growth, accountability, and deeper relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Everything shared and practiced here should reflect Christ-centered living.

1. Christ-Centered Conduct

• All members must strive to reflect Christ in attitude, speech, and behavior.

• Conversations should be edifying, encouraging, and grounded in Scripture.

2. No Profanity or Crude Language

• No cussing, vulgarity, or inappropriate jokes.

• Speech should be respectful, uplifting, and honoring to God and others.

3. No Blasphemy or Disrespect Toward God

• God’s name, Word, and truth must be treated with reverence.

• Mockery, irreverence, or misuse of sacred matters is not permitted.

4. No Selling or Self-Promotion

• No advertising, selling products/services, recruiting, or self-promotion.

• This includes subtle promotion (social media, businesses, events, etc.).

5. No Agenda-Driven Influence

• Members should not push personal, political, or controversial agendas.

• The focus remains on discipleship, not debate or division.

6. Respect Between Men and Women

• Interactions must be respectful, modest, and above reproach.

• No flirtation, suggestive comments, or inappropriate private messaging.

• Maintain clear and healthy boundaries at all times.

7. Confidentiality

• What is shared in the group stays in the group.

• Personal struggles and testimonies are not to be discussed outside without permission.

8. Accountability with Grace

• Members are encouraged to correct and challenge one another in love.

• Correction must be rooted in humility, Scripture, and care—not judgment.

9. Active Participation

• Members are expected to engage consistently (discussion, prayer, study).

• Spiritual growth requires intentional effort and commitment.

10. Leadership Authority

• Group leaders have final say in maintaining order and addressing issues.

• Repeated violation of rules may result in removal from the group.
